Washington County Open Studio Tour is 15-16 October 2022

Art is Thriving and on Display in Washington County this October

Over 40 fine artists working in Washington County will open their studio doors to the public October 15-16, 2022 as part of the 12th annual Washington County Open Studios Tour. This free event runs from 10am-5pm on both days as this weekend promises to be an immersive and educational event for all ages.

As education is a vital part of the Washington County Art Alliance’s mission, artists will demonstrate their processes used to create their work, along with finished pieces on display and for sale. This event focuses on the abundance of creative talent and skill that live in the community, highlighting the varied range of artists in the area. Visitors can watch sculptors create larger than life work in Gaston, or enjoy interactive visual art freshly back from an opening in New York City. Ceramic artists will share their skills, whether through handbuilding or wheel throwing, and you can enjoy watching painters in oil, acrylic, encaustic, watercolor and more!

A full list of participating artists is available on https://www.washcoart.org/artists-and-galleries-2022/ as well as in free printed guides that will be available at every artist’s studio as well as several locations throughout the county.
