Find Your Face Shape And The Jewelry That Looks Best On You!

Have you noticed that sometimes a beautiful piece of jewelry just doesn’t make the wearer look her best? It’s possible that she is wearing the wrong shape of jewelry for her face shape. As a general rule, earrings that are the opposite of your face shape look best on you. Necklaces, on the other hand should accentuate not only your face shape, but the neckline of your blouse. A necklace shape should emphasize the parts of your face that you want emphasis on and/or take the emphasis off of parts you don’t want to spotlight.

For example, if you have a pointy chin and you would like the eye to focus elsewhere, avoid wearing a necklace and neckline that are V-shaped. Conversely, if your chin line is softly rounded, the V-shaped necklace will give it a bit more of a V appearance.

Oval faces look best with collar, choker, triple strand, V-shape, waterfall, and full necklaces. For earring shapes, any shorter style of earrings look good on you. Try chandeliers, dangles, drops, studs, teardrop, or triangles.

Round faces should use long length necklaces, and long streamlined earrings. Try matinee, long V, and long T styles. Avoid collar, choker and full necklaces. Avoid round earring shapes like hoop and button earrings and instead go for rectangular, long ovals, narrow chandeliers, dangles, and drops.

Rectangular faces should use short length necklaces like collars, chokers and full necklaces. Avoid opera length, long V, and long T styles. Thick or wide earrings with rounded edges are best. Avoid triangles and wide chandeliers in favor of small studs, round buttons, tear drops, hoops, ovals, large buttons, and short drops.

Square faces look best with long length necklaces like matinee length, long V, and Long T styles. Avoid collar, bulky pieces and full necklaces. Wear earrings that have round or curved edges or multi-tiered earrings. Try long teardrop, oversized round hoops, chandeliers, dangles, long drops and oval hoops. Avoid large studs, wide chandeliers, triangles and squares.

Heart (also includes inverted triangle) faces are best paired with shorter necklaces like collar, chokers and full necklaces. Avoid opera, long V, and long T styles. Earrings should be wider on the bottom than the top. Wear fan shapes, teardrops, triangles chandeliers, medium hoop. Avoid studs or miniature hoops, feather shapes, large studs, and narrow dangles.

Pear faces look best with medium length necklaces, V-style and princess lengths. Avoid bulky pieces, collars, and full necklaces. Avoid triangle earrings in favor of ear cuffs and dangles.

Diamond faces are another shape that works with almost all jewelry shapes. Wear collar, choker, full necklace, triple strand, and waterfall necklaces. Select wide earrings, triangles, drops, hoops, studs, teardrops and small drops.
