COST: $40 ($25 for class and $15 for materials)

DESCRIPTION:

Make your own necklace and earrings using a kit designed by Denise Hershey of Gaia's Song Jewelry.

Choose from several prepackaged kits of beads, wires, and clasps to create your own necklace and earrings. (Note, you can substitute a clip-on for an earring wire if you don't have pierced ears). Most of the kits contain elements of Italian Murano Glass, including Millefiori (many flowers) style beads.

The kit contains the exact number of beads and findings (toggle clasp, necklace wire, wire for earring wires, pin for earring dangle, and crimps for connection points).

Denise will provide a design board, looping tool, wire cutters, crimpers, and an earring wire maker "jig". Using these tools, you can make your necklace and earrings from the kit of beads and findings. Don't worry, Denise will gladly do the technical steps like crimping and making loops. You can make your own ear wires using one of the four different styles of earring wire jigs - it's so easy!

Denise has included a sheet with the contents of the kit which is color-coded so you can replicate the pattern.

The class is limited to 6. If there is an overwhelming response, the class can be repeated the next day, Sunday, Nov 5, 2023 for another 6 participants.

By popular demand, you can bring an assistant to help you with your necklace for $5 more! If possible, can you please bring a folding chair for your assistant? We’re a little short of chairs.
