Happy Necklace Makers!

Posted by Denise Hershey on Nov 9th 2023

Five lovely women attended my first ever Make and Take – Necklace and Earring set – at The Perfect Piece Gallery and Gifts at noon on Nov 4, 2023.

The good news is that some participants would want to do it again. Tentatively Tina Hosper, the gallery owner, and I are thinking of doing another one before Valentine’s Day. If you’d like to attend then, send an email to Denise@GaiasSongJewelry.com to keep you updated and put you at the top of the waiting list. If we have a lot of interest, I can do two sessions in same timeframe.

Positive lessons learned:

  • I learned that my hard work in preparing 22 kits to choose from was well worth it.
  • My direction sheet seemed to be understandable and easy to follow.
  • I had a diverse selection to choose from
  • Not too many students. I think 5-6 is the max I can work with in a two-hour timeframe. Any more than that, people would be waiting on me to help them with the technical parts.
  • Some students wanted me to do the technical part, and some wanted to try it out. Both options worked out well. I had additional parts in case something got too botched up, but didn’t need them.
  • I also learned a few things I can do a little better in the future. For example, one necklace chosen was a little short. In the future, I’ll bring extra beads so we can add some into the design and make it more comfortable to wear.

Hope to see you at one of the next Make and Takes!
